On October 3rd, 2018 at approximately 8:52 a.m., a Deputy from the Jo Daviess County Sheriff’s Office attempted to make an arrest on Justin R. Ringleman, 32 of Apple River, Illinois, who was known by the Deputy to have mul-tiple arrest warrants. As the Deputy made contact with Ringleman, he fled from the scene on foot. Shortly after, a Sheriff’s Office K-9 unit was called in to track and locate Ringleman. As the search contin-ued, the Jo Daviess County Sher-iff’s Office received a 911 call that a male subject had forced entry into an apartment at 102 North Prairie Street. The Sheriff’s Office K-9 Unit was then utilized for a search of the apartment. After refusing several K-9 announcements, the K-9 was deployed in the apartment. Shortly after, Justin R. Ringleman was located hiding under a bed. Ringleman was taken into custody after a brief altercation with law enforcement. Ringleman was transported to Midwest Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries due to a K-9 apprehension.
